| Why he's running |
Nick De Laat is running for Wyoming's future. He is a veteran that believes in smaller government, less spending, less taxes, and the Constitution. |
| Local issues |
Personal property rights are getting taken away daily. This issue is within every ammendment of the bill of rights, and the intrustion is unacceptable. We need to not make laws diminishing any rights of a property owner, and overturn laws in existance that impedes a property owners rights. Wyoming can be an example for the government on how to run a budget. Lower spending, lower taxes. If you don't have money, you can't spend money. We can be listened to by proving that what we do here in this state will work for the country. We can be a leader using state budgeting and assets to lead by example and fix the national budget. |
| National issues |
I would like to sustain our level Wyoming economy to the future by a simple plan to create more energy production, and creating the ability for manufacturing facilities to thrive here in this state. I would like to limit the federal governments power over Wyoming citizens and enable us to make social and civil decisions here in the state without federal influence. Our education system is failing. I would like to make it easier to privitize more schools, and instead of dumping more money at educational techniques that prove year after year to not work, finding a solution that does with minimal government influence. I would like to enable a Virginia style carry of concealed weapons law (not Alaska style), and the Montana free gun commerce law here in Wyoming. |
